Everybody loves a mystery--and it seems you've found a good one. It even has
a little "scare" factor. :^)
Regarding album art, I think that is close to the standard now. Winamp, for
example, will display anything labeled "cover" or "folder" if it is in the
same folder. If you have multiple albums in the same folder (like orphan
files for example) it will display a matching album cover if it is named the
same as the album name in the ID3 metadata in the song. And of course all
the players will show embedded art. I enjoy this because it gives me an
incentive to track down missing art or retouch existing. Since I don't print
CD covers, I just save them at about 1000 x 1000 pixels which displays
nicely.
