I've put it in the 'too hard' basket. It seems that AIMP is not set up
for streaming audio, and during a few hours of playing around with it,
it has not done it again (and never did in the past). It continued to
play 'grabs' of files long after all files were downloaded and after
the newsreader was shut down, and AIMP would immediately restart when
I closed it.
But there are at least a couple of unusual things about AIMP (at least
unusual to me). For example, if you choose an audio file from a folder
that has a JPG containing the word "cover", "front" or possibly
similar descriptive words, it will display the picture in the player,
without the necessity of embedding the JPG in the tags. I'm unfamiliar
with other players apart from a few older basic one, so this is
probably a common feature. (I should get out more..lol).
