Yes -- I suppose the piece is a bit of a Victorian warhorse, but it's one of
those that everyone should have. One of our local parishes has performed it
every year for something like a century and they unfailingly fill the pews
for the event. Stainer makes me flinch a little bit, but I'm glad you posted
it and I'm glad to have it in my collection. Even after not hearing it for
about 40 years, every bit is immediately recognized by my mind, so I suppose
that says something for it!
