Yes, you are correct, but to quote my favored source (Wikipedia) :
"Roman Catholic and Orthodox Christians often refer to the angel Michael as
"Saint Michael", an honorific title that does not indicate canonization. He
is generally referred to in Christian litanies as 'Saint Michael the
Archangel.'"
While they don't specifically mention Anglican Christians, the same
principle applies. Since the word "saint" derives from the Latin "sanctus" -
"holy" it certainly works as well as any other possible title...
