Many thanks to you and Thane for the reply to my question.
That was sung by the Escolania de Montserrat during the conventual
mass at Montserrat last Sunday. And while there is a great similarity
between written Catalan and French, the pronunciation is quite another
matter.
The commentator introduced the musical work but despite repeated
listenings I could not clearly get the name of the composer.
