Hi Brassemer,

I use Photoshop CS4 because I have done layout and pre-press work for many
years and it is the only photo editing program I am familiar with. It
usually makes quick work of this sort of thing using the
File-Automation-Photomerge menu, leaving just a little cleanup work at the
edges.

I am sure there are other programs that do this just as well at far less
cost. While the cost of keeping Photoshop updated is very reasonable, the
initial expense is quite high, around US$650, and it is not needed unless
you are preparing material for print (CMYK process color).

It is quite possible that the far lower priced Photoshop Elements or Paint
Shop Pro can do the same sort of job. I don't know the answer, but perhaps
someone else does...
