Thanks so much for this one. I really appreciate it! Do you happen to
have any more of Olavsguttene or "Sölvguttene"?
/Cheers

Hi group:
Here this vinyl single, and a few comments from the correspondant i got
this recording....well, unless if our Mighty Master All Wisdom treble
guru has something different to say or add, here is what i know from this
person:
Olavsguttene "Synger julen in",recorded 1959.released 1960 -
In 1927 this choir started as the first boys choir in s.k.modern time
under the leadership of Ragnvald Bjarne (his old family name was
Ifversen, which he for unknown reason took away (Bjarne is normally a
first name) ) - he was the much respected leader and musically
inspiration for many today quite famous personalities.
The composer Knut Nystedt, and the legendary leader of Solvguttene
"Torstein Grythe" (passed away 2009),were members and soloists in this
choir.
Many other opera singers, today wellknown conducters started their
career in Olavsguttene.
Ragnvald Bjarne was the leader until he died 1964.
May be this is the only recording of this choir....unless of course if
you know who has something different to say.
I hope you like it
