In Montserrat there is a tradition.
Every day at noontime there is a short service during which the Escolania sings a Salve Regina.
Of course, over the centuries many composers, some from among Montserrat itself, have written versions of that hymn.
The Escolania has recorded numerous versions and several recordings are in fact simply titled "Salve Regina".
But this post is rather different as contrary to what it would appear at first, it is not a compilation CD from several of those recordings.
It is rather a selection of the Salve Regina sung on different Sundays in 2009 and it comes from broadcasts of the Conventual mass at which the Escolania is present.
Of course, these are live perfprmances.
And of course there can't be covers or tracklists!
But in case someone might want to burn his own CD and provide covers, I'm adding an image that could be helpful.
