I have some foggy memories of that choir.
If I'm not mistaken, it could be one the many school choirs from
Quebec.
In those years the school system was confessional and the French
"public" schools were run by teaching brothers and nuns for the girls'
schools (no mixed schools then).
The PCCB from Paris, under Msgr Maillet, toured here a few times and
they had a very big influence: many schools had large boys choir.
The musical level was not always too high but at least there were
choirs!
As for the Petits Chanteurs de la Madone I have nothing from them, and
on a purely subjective level, I would think that $30 is indeed high.
Take out the zero, and then maybe....
