Always ready to come to nene's rescue, such a kind and mild mannered person, more of a flute player than an organist for sure.
Though I don't speak Spanish or Catalan, I can make out a few details from the insert notes.
This CD, as well as the LP posted by nene, feature a 1958 recording of the daily Morning mass during which the Escolania sang.
I would have thought this CD might have been posted in the past, either by me or someone else. No way to check since the loss of the archivist :-)
I know of another mass recording that I'm quite sure I posted, of a mass setting for boys choir and treble soloist.
In a way this is quite historical since with the changes from the Vatican Council in the mid sixties there is no longer such a mass. Of course the Escolania still performs daily for a noon Salve Regina, and it takes part in the Sunday mass.
As a matter of fact I have some recordings from late 2008 to the start of the 2009 Summer holidays and if there is any interest I could post a selection from these live recordings.
In the present CD I see that the organ piece on track 13 is performed by one of the choristers.
I think nene would have a long way to go should he want to learn organ playing.
