These RAR files use the newest RAR codec, which unfortunately is not
compatible with older versions of WinRAR. Older WinRAR versions give
you the error message you've noted.
However, you can get a freeware copy of another application, called
Bandizip, which will open and extract this version of RAR. I have it
and it works like a charm. Bandizip with not Encode RAR's in the new
codec, but it will decode them.
