Guns of Paradise, set from 1890 and on, focuses on Ethan Allen Cord, a
mostly-retired professional gunfighter who is forced to take custody of the
four children of his sister, a St. Louis singer who was dying and unable to
make any other arrangements for their care.
Cord realized his profession was unsuitable to child rearing and decided to
change, renting a farm from Amelia Lawson, who also owned the local bank in
the small town of Paradise, California (the origin of the title).
Ethan tries to live a peaceful life, but is constantly haunted by his violent
past and frequently called upon by the townspeople to defend them from
lawlessness.
Cord is close friends with John Taylor, a Native American medicine man, who
often provids him with wise counsel and insights into human nature.

Watched a few episodes of this when it originally aired, but as you might
know about me, I'm not much of a Rip-Snortin' Fast-Draw Western type of guy,
so it left no lasting impressions on me.
When a friend recently offered me this WAC Season 1 set I had to go back and
do a little research to confirm its On-Topic-ness, but I'm happy to say that
it passed all tests for suitability, with not one, not Two, but THREE Cuties
to gaze upon in each episode!
'course the milage my vary as to how much screen time they get, but let's
keep our fingers crossed, shall we? :)
