Make a Wish
Wealthy composer Johnny Seldon has writer's block. He's taken refuge at a
remote lakeside resort to try to find inspiration in nature, but it is not
working out as planned.
Adjacent to the retreat is a boys' camp that specializes in music, and to
pass the time, Seldon monitors the campers' progress as they rehearse for
their annual summer musical revue.
He strikes up a friendship with young Chip Winters, who has a remarkable
singing voice. When Chip reads some of his mother's letters to Seldon, the
composer is inspired by her words and knows he has found his muse.
Let's Sing Again
A boy with a gift for song runs away from the orphanage where he has lived
since his mother died. Young Billy is determined to join the circus and
manages to stow away in one of the wagons.
An incredible coincidence awaits the lad as the traveling show pulls into New
York City. International opera star Leon Albe, who is headlining a major
extravaganza, has been searching for many years for a long-lost son who was
spirited off to America by the singer's ex-wife.
When Billy and Leon finally cross paths, musical fireworks follow...

Canadian-born Bobby Breen, born 1927, became an immediate radio and vaude-
ville sensation as a boy soprano, and it wasn't long before Hollywood came
calling. In an era when Shirley Temple ruled the box-office, Breen estab-
lished himself as a young performer with presence, charm and talent, starring
in nine feature films over a six-year span, most of them released by RKO.
Upon reaching adolescence, Breen's voice changed, and although he quietly
retired from the screen in 1942, he continued to make nightclub and concert
appearances.
