July, 2008. Mankind is faced with the threat of extinction. An ultra-mag-
netic weapon, far more devastating than any nuclear weapon known, has dest-
royed half the world in a single instant. The earth's crust is rocked by
massive movements, the earth is thrown off its axis, and the five continents
are torn completely apart and sink deep beneath the sea...
The attempt by a number of people to flee into outer space fails. Their
spaceships are forced back to the earth and vanish with their hopes shattered.
But one of the spaceships narrowly escapes destruction and crash-lands on a
small island which had miraculously survived the devastation. The crew mem-
bers of the spaceship settle here, as if they were seeds sown on the island.
After years, a boy is born. He is a new life in the desert, a ray of light in
the darkness of the annihilated earth. His name is Conan...

I've watched this anime three times so far, and will certainly revisit it for
a fourth, fifth, and... It has action, adventure, thrills, chills and humor,
but above all, Conan. I fell in love with him in Episode 1, the first time I
watched it :love: And Jimsy is a riot and will keep you laughing throughout
the series.
Sadly --as is true with many (most?) anime series-- the Conan and Jimsy char-
acters are both voiced by women :( This doesn't detract from my enjoyment of
it, though, as both do a fine job of sounding like boys to me :)
Trust me, folks, if you like Boys, you'll like this Anime!
