Yep. I went all through the settings and even for PAR2 it wouldn't
work properly, it had no memory of what was verified before and
started again fro the beginning every time. And it never worked
properly for PAR2 creation, they wouldn't create what I wanted and
even the creation of the wrong set it wanted to create failed
repeatedly. Verifying PAR2 would (depending on the size) get part way
through and crash. Must be my computer because multipar just doesn't
work for me.
Nice to have options :)
quickpar last version here:

(tutorials and other language versions on site)

I know FSRaid is still around somewhere (folks at twb were actually
recommending it, LOL) but I have no idea where to find it or why
anyone would want it. Strictly PAR1 uselessness as far as I recall

This is the version of a&a's ypp that I downloaded back in Sept 2012,
is still there:
http://powerpost.free.fr/
English download (French version also on site):

Yep it wasn't an install, just extract the archive to where you want
it, set up shortcuts accordingly, and there ya go :)
Another option that might work for some is yEncBin Poster but I don't
remember where I got it, just that it had the same limitations as
Camel, and there was something else that went wrong, although I don't
plan on hunting it down to install it and find out :)
That'd be one advantage of a forum, to create a catalogue of all these
different options - stuff gets lost so easily in these discussions.
Thanks for all your help
