General Information
===================
This is what I have of the collected works of Ed McBain, the 87th precinct series.
None of these are my rips. I haven't listened to these in years, they were complete when I first listened to them,
they have been stored on cd's and I think are still error free. I started going through them again and am enjoying
this series so much I thought I would share them. And (the ulterior motive) I am missing a few, no idea where they
disappeared to. If you have the fills, I would be delighted to have them.
Depending on where you look, there were The series started in 1956 and ended in 2005 with the author's death.
File Information
================
Sources vary, the older ones from cassette tapes. The quality is surprisingly good, considering.
The audio has the "reverse cassette" and rewind instructions that were a part of the original
recording. Makes me appreciate how far we have come in digital audio.
I looked at several sites for the numbering of these recordings, pretty much every one was different. I settled
on using the Wikipedia numbering.
I sort of like rared files with the directory - I see that done in the abook downloads I have done, just unrar
everything to a named directory is pretty convenient for me. If you don't like that, don't download it. So instead .
of what seems to be the more mainstream listing of mp3's with pars, you will be downloading rar and par files that
will extract to a directory.
Author Information
=====
Salvatore Albert Lombino, he legally adopted the name Evan Hunter in 1952. While successful and well known as
Evan Hunter, he was even better known as Ed McBain, a name he used for most of his crime fiction, beginning in 1956.
He also used the pen names John Abbott, Curt Cannon, Hunt Collins, Ezra Hannon, and Richard Marsten, amongst others.
His 87th Precinct novels have become staples of the police procedural genre.

Posting info

I'll post these with what should be a more than adequate number of par files. I don't plan on doing any reposts. If the
post shows up incomplete on the two servers I will check, I will post extra par files.
