I am talking about the Sanza Clip here, and I realise you are talking
about the Sport, but some of what is being said seems umm,
contradictory.
I might be coming in half way here, but the file names play no part in
the playback order, UNLESS you are in folder mode. In that mode, tags
are effectively ignored, and the files play in the same sort order
that the computer would see them. ie
01 - file
02 - file
03 - file
BUT, that is in folder mode. In normal audiobook mode, the book is
shown title wise by the BOOK/ALBUM field. If the first word is The, it
is truncated.
The play order is determined by the TRACK TITLE, so make the MP3
bookhelper tag say
<Album> <Count> of <Total>
Which will give you for example
Cockroaches 01 of 10.
So, the BOOK ALBUM field shows the name of the book in the audiobook
list. Once you are 'in' the book, the top line shows the AUTHOR/ARTIST
field, and the scrolly text under that is the TRACK TITLE FIELD.
This is the field that determines the play order. The file name itself
has nothing to do with anything in this case, which is why I am
replying, because you seem to be saying that the file names themselves
play some part, which they don't, UNLESS you are not in audiobook
mode, and are instead in folder mode. In that mode, shuffle might come
into it to, not sure, since I don't use folder mode at all for books.
Hope this helps.
