Wow ! I guess we are getting real cryptic here, but why have to
encrypt helpful information?.
Why would this message (that I am replying to) have to be password
protected when it simply lets everyone know that :
"files encrypted with TC 7, are not TC 6.x compatible."
Am I missing something here?
That information alone will probably help out many people that have
been (or were) having problems, including myself.
Sure, everyone may already know the "reverse version of the original
group password" to view it, but this is only helpful information to
all.
VERY helpful.
Of course, the version that I have been fighting with for a over a
week is 6.3, so there adds another variable into the equation of
possible mistakes of it not working.
Have you specifically stated what version YOU are using?
Maybe I missed that post.
And of course, that information regarding TC7 versus TC6 was not found
in my TC 6.3 manual for obvious reasons.... they could not look into
the future because they forgot their crystal ball on the day they
compiled the new manual.
So, after my Mel Gibson tirade, would this be a good time for me to
ask a question that has been asked several times with no real answer
given yet ??. It will be in CAPS, not to resemble yelling or
screaming, but to make the question more visible.
Here's the question:
CAN A MULTIPLE PART TC POST BE VIEWED BY ONLY DOWNLOADING PART OF THE
POST JUST TO SAMPLE THE POST FIRST WITHOUT HAVING TO DOWNLOAD THE
ENTIRE POST?
(caps lock off)
Maybe no one understands the question or the reason?
In winrar this is possible to download just a few parts of the post to
see if they want the entire post. If this is NOT the case with TC,
then it will obviously eliminate another possible mistake that I (and
others ) may be making, since I have been trying to open the keyfiled
posts with just several parts (first 5 or 10 parts, then combine).
It is not a question that needs to be answered under some password
protection or someone requesting that I e-mail them under some
hushmail account, it is something helpful to all that can be posted
regarding the capabilities of TC, and can be posted right here in this
group openly for all to view.
That's all, folks!
Thanks.
