As for why Howard would marry a Polish woman, that's easy:
they fell in love.
I'm not a big fan of Joel either and haven't listened to it yet. I
will at least give it a chance though. I found Howard's previous long
interview with him to be very interesting, in spite of the schmaltzy
music. And I did find one BJ song that I like.
