It looks like the tapes are the result of a lot of work,
someone dubbed their favorite show bits between cassettes
to make their collection. Remember, copying 20 minutes took
20 minutes...
The clips in one tape came from very different dates and
sources with varied quality.
Here's a non-bit at the end of Ted's Tape #1, not listed in
the index. I got the date from the news and sports scores.
Feb 17 1988.
A lot of the other prerecorded bits have been played on
Sirius and replayed many times since.
Proper restoration like this would require attention to each clip, as
they are recorded and dubbed differently. Also, Tim's digital
transfer was clipping, I reduced the internal mp3 level
before opening and then took the unclipped right channel
for most of the audio.
