Yes, it was depressing. He kept saying over and over "I'm a heroin
addict." He can't stand being in the grind, on the road again, doing all
those comedy club gigs. Doesn't know how much longer he can do it.
Calling himself a loser. Can't stand the additional hours put in at
radio stations (bunch of losers, destroyed medium, nobody's like Howard)
to promote his club dates. "I'm a loser. If the woman I love says stop
taking heroin or she'll leave me, I choose drugs over pussy. Because I'M
A LOSER."
Maybe he just slept it off. But he sounded like he's in as deep in a
dark hole as he ever was.
