Similar Groups (alt.binaries.gmodels)

I am a newbie.  There are a lot of groups with provocative names, but
full of spam and garbage.  I stumbled across alt.binaries.gmodels and
alt.binaries.pictures.totty quite by accident.  Are there other groups
with similar content - without the junk?
