Be my guest. Posted an earlier version (not quite as comprehensive)
to abme.asian a month or so ago. Even this one might be not quite
complete; could let appx 16 messages through out of each million or
so. To fix, insert one more question mark ("?") between the 6th
(sixth) and 7th (seventh) "[0-9a-f]"s; this change would filter out
also those message ids that have only 1 (one) hex digit in the second
dotted component.
