Does anyone know if the "Thunder" series is supposed to be a prequel for the "8
Planet" series? While Varley doesn't mention in detail why the Earth was
abandoned, the time-line seems to fit, if you allow for the time passing of
Rolling Thunder to travel.

The reason I ask this is there a few more stories that could be done in the
series. Thunder Home could be the next in the series (another 20-year jump)

Or meeting the aliens in from Ophiuchi Hotline.

Basically, I want more books in the series!
