Time consuming.
Do a find on .r in filename in the containing folder, drag them all one
level up,
(with find scope set to the original folder)
is somewhat faster.
Or unzip with the UnArchiver, with 'create new folder' set to 'Never'.

The Unarchiver will also do.
This still leaves you with a file without any title and author info,
which you have to get from the .nfo file or elsewhere.
Also time wasting.

No idea. Anyway, as already said, ten years to Siberia would be too
mild a punishment
for the miscreant who invented this scheme.
