No, this one was built up from the internet. I saw a mention that this
product existed a few days ago and started searching to see if it was
available for download (the actual record would do me no good; I
haven't owned a turntable in twenty years). But there was no luck
finding it on the web, other than in bits 'n' pieces. The soundtrack
were available as Youtube videos, the album art scattered across a
half-dozen websites, the tracklist too. So I ripped the videos to MP3,
completely re-did the inner album art because the one photo I found
was so terrible (it's just a Jeff Easley print with some black margins
and a "fold line" in the middle :-) and generally just pulled
everything together into one convenient package.
I sort of wish I had been able to find a picture of the actual RECORDS
though. And a better version of the back cover (I snagged that from
another youtube video, which is why it is so low-resolution). But
beggars can't be choosers.
Stilll, I'm glad of the effort. This was an extremely rare product to
begin with, and only available in the UK to boot (at least the record
was, the cassettes could be found in the US). I'd no idea a D&D record
even /existed/ a week ago and I'm pretty good with D&D stuff. Given
the complex licensing, it certainly will never see a reprint. In a few
years - as websites and videos get deleted - it might have disappeared
forever. Hopefully this archive will improve its longevity somewhat.
