Much to my surprise, there was a box set released that I'd not heard
of: TSR 1167 the "Complete Starter Set Advanced Dungeons and Dragons
Game.
Packaged in a large - and rather garish - yellow box (more along the
lines of the Monopoly board game than TSR's standard-sized boxes), it
is generally another repack of the "TSR 1134 Introduction to AD&D",
albeit with new cover-art for its manuals (similar to the "black book"
2.5E revision). The major differences is that instead of packing in an
AudioCD, the box included "TSR 9465 Book of Lairs" instead. Otherwise,
it included the same dice, plastic miniatures; DM Screen (albeit with
different text on the front), and Player cards as TSR 1134.
I never saw this as a PDF; I didn't even know it /existed/ until the
other day. If anyone has it in digital form, please upload it
Alternatel, if somebody has it in hardcopy, a scan would be
appreciated. At the very least, please just scan the box, DM screen
front, the book- covers, and the first page of each book (the one that
has the credits and printing information) and we can probably rebuild
the rest from existing material
Silly TSR, sneaking out box sets like that. Have they no respect for
people trying to create a complete archive? ;-)
