Over the next few days and week, I hope to "keep the newsgroup alive"
with a slow flood of books. By "slow" I mean "one book per day",
largely because my upload bandwidth is so terrible, but also because
if I did do a huge dump that really wouldn't do much for the channel;
it'd be immediately dead again. At least this way its on life-support
until somebody with a bigger pipe can do a proper dump ;-)
My posts of choice will be the core-rulebooks of AD&D 2nd Edition (my
game of choice). This will include the central three books (PHB, DMG,
Monster Manual), but also the PHBR "Complete Books of" series (15
books), the DMGR Dungeon Master reference books (8 books), the other
various non-world specific hard-covers (Tome of Magic, Book of
Artifacts, Legends & Lore), and a selection of other reference books.
I'll round it all up with the core-rules of the 2nd Edition Revised
series.
None of these will be new scans. My books are all in lousy condition
and my scanner is crap. Instead, I will be reposting existing scans
that I have cleaned-up. By this I mean I've made sure all the pages
are there (and in the right order!), they've been neatly cropped,
there's a good set of bookmarks, and the text has been OCR'd. The
idea is to create a set of books/PDF files that look as if they are
all part of a similar collection
