Hi Howl,
No, I don't have anything that I can repost, sorry.
What would be interesting to discover (since my posts show up as
complete on your end) is whether the problem is with your NSP or your
ISP.
If you happen to feel in the mood to experiment, you could always try an
http://www.giganews.com 3 day free trial. (You have to actually purchase
it, but they won't bill you if you cancel within 72 hours. You only get
1 GB of d/l during that time, so you could only d/l two of the missing
parts , since the parts are ~ 400 MBs. That would only fix one of the
posts. If you just used it to fill the missing segments with GrabIt, you
could do both posts, since 8 blocks would only be ~ 32 MBs.)
As you probably know, I am testing some extreme settings (as I normally
do towards the end of each year), and so I am very interested in any
feedback, positive or negative.
For anyone reading this mail, part01 of 'Beauty and the Beast' is
missing 6 segments on my end. My ISP (ComCast) was very busy last
Saturday removing their free NSP (which was powered by GigaNews).
This created a lot of 'ISP jitters' which caused articles 46 through 51
to be missing from my post. I simply made a mental not to fill those
segments after my post completed.
Moral to this story: Mental notes can sometimes be unreliable. Much
better is a 3M 'Post-It' note attached to one's monitor!
Yes, dear readers, I FORGOT!
Anyway, Howl, I will continue to double the number of PAR2's I post
until we can get to the bottom of this problem.
Thanks for your interest in my posts,
Isis
