Well, now I'm confused. Your parts are coming in over here at exactly 128 MiB,
divided into 99 Articles. The decimal setting in WinRAR to achieve that Part
Size would be 134217728 Bytes. So to get 99 Articles/Part your yEnc lines
setting must be set to 10592. That's what you would enter into PowerPost &
QuickPar.
:I set the redundancy to 3.56%. I chose that number because it was the
:lowest setting I could get that was above 127 blocks.
Sounds like you're using the slider. If you use the up/down arrows you can get
exactly 127 blocks. Anyway, you had 372 .PAR2 blocks in your current post.
:
:So, now the yEnc line count is 10,000, the source block count is
:3,699...the redundancy is 3.56%, recovery blocks are 132, 8 recovery
:files. I set the recovery file size to Variable/Power of 2.
I assume that the 'Restrict Block Size to Multiples of Usenet Article Size' box
is ticked, since that is the default. When you get 127 blocks, the last file
would read .vol63+64.PAR2. (Each file would be twice the size of the previous
file, ie, 31+32; 15+16; 07+08; 03+04; 01+02; 00+01.)
:Are these better settings? I'm not going to repost the test package

:I'll use them (or settings as close as possible) the next time I post
:something.
:
:But if that's all I have to adjust, then I'd say we're probably good
:to go. Do you agree?
Well, I fell asleep & so your post finished. There were a lot of nested folders,
but I eventually drilled down to 'MOUCHETTE' which had the AUDIO_TS & VIDEO_TS
folders. It's playing fine. I may actually watch it later. (I never d/l anything
from these groups.)
:Thanks again. Smeggy
You're welcome,
