Yes, I'm still with Easynews. Surely it is one of the big three along
with Giganews and Astraweb?
It's true that recently both Giganews and Astraweb have clearly
overtaken Easynews if you just looked at the provision of unlimited
gigs
However, I like several unique things about Easynews:
1) They provide a web interface as well as NNTP. This is excellent for
checking out image files and for searching across groups. You can also
selectively download via that interface either directly or by zipping
files via their 'Zip Manager' facility - you can also create NZB's via
the 'Zip Manager'.
2) They provide bonus gigs for doing a simple survey every week.
3) They offer 25% more to allow for encoding overheads if using their
NNTP servers (instead of the web ones). In fact I've found recently
that you get at least 40% more!
4) I've found their support excellent - and they actually have free
international phone support.
