Actually I did. When I posted the Kino Gambler I mentioned that the
other versions were better and suggested one be posted.-- that was
back in the fall. And I also requested Testament. I wasn't really
aware of 1000 Eyes at that point. I found that around the same time
as I found a pal of Testament (also without subs) and I was waiting
for Fullers to post the Criterion of Testament -- he promised to post
it in Jan 2009. So same story with that -- I authored that too,
right before you posted the Criterion -- no wonder I have so many
dvdr's around:)
Anyway, yeah I do ask, if I want something, even when I get shot
down-- like with the Pagnol Marseille trilogy, Fanny, Marius and
Cesar-- it's on Kino-- this is the third time I'm mentioning that one,
but it doesn't look like anyone else's interested.

Yeah I already had, (I ref DVDBeaver alot myself-- it's usually in my
nfo's if they do a comparison)

No, I can't get that yet. I'll keep checking -- I'd like it myself.

I know. I've been replacing a lot of old Fox Lorber foreign movies
with the Criterions I've been finding --my prior The Last Metro was
a Fox Lorber with hard coded subs, no extras, cropped print, etc, etc.
-- they're the pits.
Anyway, speaking of different versions -- if you haven't burned a copy
of Lang's Liliom, yet, you might want to hold off. The 2006 2disk
50th Anniversary edition of Carousel has a better version (than the
Kino) of it on the bonus disk. I just got it and will be posting it
on abd.classic.movies soon.
