The problem is the version of the so-called premium news server you
are using. Version 8 has problems with certain postings. I forget
the details, but if you want to get all of newbiesandfly's posts, you
need to get an earlier version. I am using Agent version 7.2, which
sees all these postings as complete, and I know because I've
downloaded many of them. You can get another version here:

Yes, you are the only one posting here recently. Now and then others
post something, but this group has been very quiet for a while.
However, there TONS of stuff still here in this group, as long as your
news provider has good retention. The newsserver I am using is run by
the same company that developed the Agent newsreader mentioned above.
They have retention back to mid-2008, and you can use the Agent
software (except for version 8) to parse the entire backlog of
content. I did it. It took over a year to sift thru, and I still
haven't watched but a fraction of it, but there's tons and tons,
terabytes, in fact, of great stuff just sitting there, waiting to be
downloaded.
