Hi Mike,
you wrote: I'm not seeing any spam at all when refilling the group...
I was curious that you didnt see the spam, and wondering how you were
filtering it. But I was in the middle of parsing the entire backlog
of uploads to the group, and needed to finish that before looking
further. I see now, happily, that it was only a short spurt of spam,
starting on 12-29-2017, and ending on 1-16-2018, over 4 thousand
gibberish titles from hundreds or thousands of gibberish authors, each
posting just a few items, so not an easy way to filter, that I could
see.
But going backwards, I see a similar spam attack that started
8-19-2017, that only ended on 12-16-2017, so apparently the spammers
took a couple weeks off for Xmas... Nice that they stopped in mid
january, but suspect they will return... There was another curious
flood of old tv shows in 2013 that lasted months. That was a single
poster, yencbin, so easier to filter out. Funny bit was that when I
retried that period with new filters, I only got a single post with
over a million that were filtered out, see attachment. Here was that
solitary post:

Anyway, you asked me to repost anything interesting I might find.
I am only just beginning to watch stuff, and I'm starting with
documentary films, which is my favorite. There was one I almost
missed, because it was just a single NZB file for something posted in
teevee, "American Masters, John Lennon NYC." I watched that, and it
was really good. I have attached the nzb, but it was from 2010, so
doubt it will work for you. Have you already got this? If not, I
could repost the pars and rars, either here, or back in the beatles
group.
