I'm curious what the advantage is of using disc storage over portable
hard drives. I've been storing and playing vids on HP and WD portable
hard drives for 5 or so years. My first was 500GB ( BR discs are
200G?) and my largest is 2TB, none of which i ever had problems with,
even when reorganizing files from one to another, deleting large
quantities of files then adding more. I have a laptop with a decent
media player loaded on it hooked to my TV to watch the vids and never
have problems. It seems to me the disc storage is a noisey and
troublesome way of doing it. Am I missing something?
