Sorry to hear about the crash.
Yes, SSD hard drives are one of the greatest computer upgrades in
decades. I have added Gb's of memory and have never been able to tell
if it improved anything at all, but when I converted to an SSD hard
drive, at last, a true upgrade, blazing startup, everything is so much
faster now! There are even little ones, mSATA SSD drives, in case you
want to upgrade an old laptop, very cheap and worthwhile upgrade.
I don't have a blu-ray burner yet, but 4TB drives are getting cheaper,
around $125 at Sam's Club. LED lights are becoming cheap now also...
If we can just keep our civilization from self-destructing from
mindless religious bigotry and greed, the future should continue to
get better and cheaper and more energy efficient.
I would rather see more personal responsibility, but in any case, I am
eager to see the self-driving vehicles ASAP before getting whacked by
some spoiled teenager driving an SUV while reading their cell phone
messages. The highways have not been enlarged, for the most part
since the 1970s, and it's getting really crowded on the major
highways.
