Wow! I thought I'd gone deaf (er)! Katherine may enjoy it...but I have
a feeling that there will be a lot more folks enjoying it with her. If
you have any more Canal Boat vids ( in XviD or DivX ) please post. I
got some that were just posted a ways back.
A long time ago, when I was much younger and wanting to tour Europe,
PBS (I'm across the pond, as you say) put on a three part mini-series
called "Barging Through Europe: The Voyage Of The Leontyne ) or
something like that. A guy in Britain restored a barge, got it all
fixed uo, then took it across the channel and started in France (I
think!?) and barged all the way up to somewhere in Scandinavia. I had
dreams about it back then. Never got to see it all but I guess that
they had quite a time getting it all started. Now THAT would be an
Adventure...with a capital A!
The canals over there, In Britain and Europe, look like a boaters
Heaven. Relaxed, easy days, friendly...
Thank You for the post...whether Katherine enjoys it or not. I will,
and I'm sure that many more will as well!
Later...
