I have had traffic management issues in offpeak times but only if I've hit their
limit before 9pm. I continue to get TM issues for up to 4 hrs afterwards. VM
deny this happens of course but there is a very accurate meter built into
Newsleecher so I know they are lying.
Having said that, I downloaded a 56GB tor yesterday at speeds well above their
managed limit. Not sure what their "fair usage" policy is these days but it sure
as hell can't be THAT big.
If, after spraying with WD40, you still have problems then I'd suspect the mobo
to be faulty. Like you say, there is nothing worse than an intermittent fault.
