----------------------------------------
Hiya Spike. A.b.teevee certainly HAS disappeared from VM now. I use Newsleecher
to download with and that brings down the headers and the body just fine.
My Tweeknews settings are 10 bots using port 563 and that works fine too at the
moment.
I have a friend who works for VM and he says they have dropped a.b.teevee
because of the shear bandwidth it was taking up.I guess they are betting that
there are a lot of people out there without secondary servers. It does make
sense though. Everyone is getting a speed upgrade soon (that's if they haven't
already had one.)and I'm betting that VM are looking to find maximum bandwidth
for that.
Only time will tell.
Just one small and very odd thing with Tweaknew. If I download a few files and
then extract them I get nowt in the way of a file. If I download the whole thing
and then extract it everything is fine. It might just be that particular post of
course.
RIB.
