If you're still following this thread or anyone else with the problem.
I had the same issue and got so frustrated I left usnet for a while.
For me it seemed to be related to the automatic handling of archives.
Sorry to be vague, but you probably know what I am talking about. It
was one of the new features. I ended up having to extract what I could
from my agent data and starting all over with a fresh install and
disable the feature during the setup. I originally tried changing it
in the options, but just ended up with a bunch of corupt data.
