Sorry Peggleg, I wasn't asking specifics about the actual 'Big O'...
just the differences between the two bow types on ANY ship, and
commissioned but not ready for use, again on any ship, sorry that I
may have worded it to sound like that, I must have cost you a lot of
research time :(
I would have done that myself, I just thought that it would be a
couple of quick answers from someone that would know Navy Lingo.
But... it is interesting to read anyway :)
Glad that you found some interesting information (cruise books) for
yourself as well mate :)
Hope they were ALL Good memories.
My (ex) Father-in-Law served on a US Navy Carrier, shame that we
didn't talk much about it, he died of cancer shortly after the Wife
left, we talked quite a lot on facebook after the split but never
seemed to get around to talking about his Navy days.
Wish we had now.
Oh well ! now who's getting windy :)
