it may take me a day or two to get back with you guys, lots of
thoughts, but too much to do, as always... started one reply thread,
but it started getting too wordy. I need to re-focus and not write a
book.
anyhow, more to come.
one thing i said before, something like i wasn't looking to make new
online friends, or something like that... that was an unfortunate
choice of words, as i love making new friends because you never know
what may evolve. I have been in some type of isolationist mentality
for some time, due to the family stress i mentioned... and am just
keeping myself to myself, so that's where that was coming from.
Also I am swamped with a million things to do, and need to double down
on getting things done.
That's why I've got to get rid of that free usenet account. It's too
tempting. I'm sure there will arise a need to get something, but I've
still got the tweek account, and can always get a free trial
somewhere. Spike, you show your good character by turning it down
over and over, or maybe a little fear that it could be a trap? ;-)
i hope not, but i'm so paranoid myself. I'm pretty sure i can trust
you guys, but i can understand you might not trust me, dangling some
supposed prize. Anyway, that was kind, to turn it down and remind me
that I might regret it later... you would not believe what I have
given away for free, but nevermind. this is nothing. And I assure
you, I will not regret it. I am happy to give the account away. It
is too nice, a free unlimited account on a server with retention back
to 2008... It seems a waste for me to just hold on to it for sporatic
future use. Yes, I may use the usenet when I want something specific,
but never again will I just hang out to see what floats by. That's
over for me, I've got too much else to get done. Life goes on. It's
time for me to evolve myself and see what else I can do, all by
myself, and maybe with a little help from my friends. ;-)
So the account is yours, if you want it, or maybe you and RIB could
time-share it, as a backup to your regular accounts. Anyhow, it's
between you guys, to decide what to do with it.
I hope you'll both email me an address to reach you. I'll stick
around a little while, but do want to unsubscribe soon.
(and RIB, i'm extremely interested in 3-d printers and want a tiny
delicate one, if such can be built. How small can the heads get?
What's the smallest thing you can print, any idea?)
anyhow, i'll write more later
ciao
