Excellent response there, Sandy.. way to go! :-)

I am maybe a few steps ahead of you.. but not that far ahead <g>
IF there is something hindering your progress, yell out.
Someone here may give a hand up. Digitising itself is what this group
should be involved with - IMO.

I reckon you are not alone.. more later :-)

Ok.. got it.

Okaaaaay, The what I am getting from this is;
"please build (digitise) a couple of silhouetted rifles I can import
into my design to complete my digitising of my badge".
I can do this, no worries, Sandy.. thing is, all you will then be able
to do with the rifles is edit the stitches.
Is that OK?
This is because of the limitations of software in importing designs
into a design as an "edit feature".. AFAIK.
For you to have total control of the design you would need to be using
the same digitising tool I am using.. and the file would have to be in
that tools proprietry format.
Alternatively.. and only a suggestion, IF I did a badge pretty much
exactly as your pix illustrates would that suffice?
That's a green outer with a red inner and the whole thing with
silver highlights.. yes?

.. all good, Sandy..
And some History for you.. and others?
When your ancestors sent my ancestors to what
was seen as "gawd-forsaken-land" so as to
a.) "get rid of them pesky varmints"
AND
b.) "create a tea garden from those wild lands"
..they (the House of Lords) forgot one very important
thing.. what were the poe blighters going to EAT!
They soon found out!
Nothing "English" either grew (successfully) or was
given much more suitable fare than a spear
by a wild blackfella!!
But what did HOL care.. "all bleedin' thieves and knaves
anyway,, give them rum and bread and let them rot".
A real nice "how do you do".. I must say!
What they (HOL) overlooked was the very thing that
bought my ancestors to the attention of the
British Justice System in the first place.. the attribute
they held that saved them.. and built a future Australia.
Their "resourcefulness".
There are many good books written on this topic..
I highly recommend "The Australian Trilogy" by Bryce Courtney.
First published in 1995 by Penguin.. search your local library.
Anyway I digress .. my point?
Out of all this came some unique "Australian Made" icons,
all developed and designed here for Australian conditions.
