"Sorry" is redundant, Niemand. How you got where you are is of your
own doing and quickly forgotten by most.
I myself focus on where you are today, as in attitude... this is what is important.
As long as you understand why Newsbin is broken and the amount of trouble
that faulty software is capable of causing, that is all that matters.
I went to a lot of trouble to get that Ver5.* bug fixed.
That was one bug, I am very sure there are more, given the knowledge of
Usenet that Author displays.
Understand there ARE people on the Net who take stuff from Usenet and
generate income from it. The Newsbin programmer is just one of thousands.
I do not provide Beta support for scammers and carpetbaggers. Period.
Therefore Newsbin will _never_ be coming
down my telephone line.. in any form/version.
To assist you in going forward from here?
If your "friend" is whom I think it is then you would be very well advised
to get him to show you exactly how to produce screen shots, as without
that skill helping folks in this group is basically not going to happen.
Ask me [!!] you type ten thousand words and nothing happens.
Post a series of screenshots and the problem gets solved. Magic.
Not many here have cottoned on to the concept that the name "pictures" in
this group actually identifies it as a Graphics group. Even fewer have worked
out that embroidery files are Graphics.. digitised Graphics.
When the ones who want to know get that concept in their head ..then, then
they will be able to start digitising.
It is that simple.
The first step is knowing how to produce screen shots. Period.
Thanks for your post.
