For anyone using a tool that requires correct
decoding parameters being fed to it?
Yes.
There are tools and services that will decode
anything and everything. There is why when they
are used by those not looking closely at the
wheels and cogs going around you get folks
losing their shirt.. and in some cases their
panties as well!

I still haven't completely figured it out, but there is no need to.
ABCP is not a "newsreader support group" as such.
What is used in ABCP here is recommended as it has
been proven time and time again the process is the most efficient
route to getting posts on the board for new players.

It is looking like the later versions are the ones doing
the corruption.
The problem with discovering anything is there are
very few users of Newsbin around. Someone would
have to start email with the distributor/writer.
The FAQ focuses on downloading with Newsbin, not posting.

Post up the MiDs for the other two parts please
Pixie, I have dropped (purged) posts on my retrieval
server for that far back.
[later]
from what you have posted since it sounds like
the parts are "out of order", as in #3 is where #1 should be???
If that is the case then this is the old "Agent multiple server bug".
A case of TMI for the client in feeding the server.
Yeh, I know.. and it gets more complicated than that.
Now you might see why it is that the tutorials and the
upload have Ver2.620 on board.
The last "good" version of Agent.

Yeh well.. I 'newed I was going to get into trouble with this :-^
I was only looking for a specific piece of information in
those posts I made screen shots of, and it wasn't "Date".
So, yeh I failed to notice MamaT quit using back when I
helped her last. So that leaves LuLu, Rosie and BlueRope
as those requiring an adjustment?
mea culpa
