"hopper"s expanded list wasn't directed at you or anyone else. It just
added to my list of some of the various things that make this group
attractive to various participants, including those who never post
messages.

If you look at many of my responses I'm ALWAYS trying to get more
specific information. I'm just anal that way!

Was 'woundful' a wonderful editorial comment or a typo?
Other than random postings just about anywhere in usenet, there are
2,358 (!) Yahoo groups that have something to do with embroidery. Most
seem to be moderated and require membership. Some are hosted by
individual (or company) designers and offer occasional free samples;
some vendor-sponsored groups are 'read only' and work like a
newsletter from the vendor.

It was, it is, and it will be. Like any group of two or more people,
there can be misunderstandings and conflicts and rabble-rousers and
peace-keepers. It comes with the territory.
Separate answers to me and 'hopper' might have clarified which one of
us you're addressing with which comments ;)
