What do you mean by "launch message"?
What program are you using?
Which SPECIFIC message(s) are giving you a problem? It might be only
those encoded with yEnc, for instance, or only .zip files, or ...
Assuming: Forte Agent, and you mean either Attachements--> Launch
or when right-clicking the the attachment in the message text area
selecting "launch" ...
If you have a file of the same type (for example, .rar) and you
double-click on it in Windows Explorer, does it open with the right
program (in this case, WinRar)? If not, you have to have your file
associations set. For example, you should have .rar files associated
with WinRar. It should have been done when you installed winrar (you
DID re-install winrar, right?)
If you did and the association isn't there, you can fix it in Windows
Explorer [NOT Internet Explorer]. Open explorer, go to Tools/Folder
Options/FileTypes and work from there.
Alternatively, find a .rar file in Explorer, right-click, select
"Open With" find WinRar [you might have to browse to find it] and,
once found, click on the box that says 'always use this for opening
this kind of file'.
Similarly for any other file type you're having a problem with.
