I haven't pulled all this yet, but got the PRO download so far.
In the text file in the PRO download (which came first), it says
=========================
Installed/Tested on new install of XP Pr0SP2
------------------------------------------------
CorelDrawINGS requires CorelDraw[X3] to be installed
before running <setup.exe>.
NOTE: This version of CorelDrawINGS is for the Ver.12
of CorelDRAW-Pro. AS the RiP of CorelDraw[X3] [supplied] is
newer than this release of CorelDrawINGS there may well be no
requirement to use the DirectX upgrade included with this archive.
Also those systems already using DirectX 9, would not require
the upgrade to be run during the install.
Install as described in: ..//Corel DrawINGS(PRO)\Patch_IT[How To]
PatchInstall.txt
Origin of the Patch code is unknown,. Only the archive is couriered.
~enjoy~
=========================
When I read that I figured I had to wait until I got the second bit
and install that first. I still have a couple of parts to go in
getting that part.
Hopper may explain it better when S/He logs in.

Wait and see if Hopper says the same thing about the installation
order. It looks like PRO gets loaded second.
