I'm thinking the attached pic will help you understand how you got
where you got with the settings.
This is a pic from the Sending Files window in Properties.
Many of the windows in Properties have an
"Override default settings" tickbox. This allows different settings
for different groups you may visit. Eg, you may not need to send large
messages as multiple messages in a text group as text is not as big as
an attachment, so you might change that group's settings so you don't
have to look all the time.
This wouldn't really matter with text as it would just send the same,
being so small. It only upsets the applecart with big files when the
setting is set for allowing large files through.
If you have already set the properties you want for all your groups to
be the same, then this option should remain UNTICKED, allowing Default
to rule. That way, it won't get confused.
Make sure you know which Properties you are in when exploring!!
