Goodness, the assumptions made! Using a royal slur and not knowing about which you're mocking. Shame!
I shall address points:
> Somebody had to spend that $100USD before it ever gets posted here.
> If Herself does not have the cash, do not get precious because none of
> us do either. We cannot share what we do not have.
Point: Never asked anyone to buy the files for me, simply asking if anyone had them in their stash to share. Major difference.
Point: Never said that I did not HAVE the cash, simply that I felt it was exorbitant for a one time project in which I would spend more more to buy thread than to buy the design pack. All that to simply toss it in a drawer after a single use? That is why I asked if anyone had it to share.
> Her reference to encrypting tells you Herself has no clue of how this
> group works. Indeed... any group.
Point: Oh my, I shall immediately have to ring up the NSA to hand back the seven security certifications I have in data management and encryption because I obviously have no idea how encryption works. Or how any group which posts files copied from a disc/card works. As the files must be copied from the source, securing the source (encrypting) is always a work in progress.
> Not a time to shoot the messenger for pointing out the obvious!
> Requesting older stuff on this group will usually get you what you

Point: Again, cannot see how asking if anyone has the files already in their possession can possibly translate to "Someone needs to buy this and send the files", but I suppose that translation errors can occur, even between English and English.
> When they don't have it, it is churlish of the requestor to feel a
> victim.
Point: Churlish? Cheeky, perhaps, in response to a stranger's rather rude reponse. A simple "no" would have sufficed, and it translates well into so many languages (see above point about the obvious translation mishap). A response of "go buy it yourself" is rather a slap than a response and only serves to bolster the responder's ego.
Thank you for showing your true colours, Mousie and Surprise, and thank you for demonstrating that a guest requestor is certainly not welcome in this little fiefdom you have set up here. May I suggest trying a polite response to a polite and genuine question rather than two people demonstrating snark and ignorance?
